Maria Passarelli

Associate Architect

Maria graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, complementing her studies with international experiences in Belgium and Japan, where she worked with Toyo Ito.

Driven by a fascination for bringing together influences from different disciplines, Maria has built a career centred on creating thoughtful and distinctive interiors. Her multidisciplinary approach first led her to Giorgio Armani, where she designed window displays, runway shows and scenography, before relocating to London to specialise in hospitality design at Soho House. There, she developed a deep understanding of both the design and operation of private members’ clubs and hotels.
During her time at Tara Bernerd & Partners, Maria led a range of high-end international projects, including private yachts, luxury residential developments and hospitality schemes across Italy, South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan.

Since joining OWN LONDON in 2024, Maria has brought her passion for research, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to bespoke design to the studio’s high-end residential projects, creating homes that are both refined and deeply personal.
